The first time I had heard of the whole “Something old, something new” tradition was from an episode of Friends where Chandler and Monica were going to get married in Vegas.
i think this happens a lot !
i hate the traditions, who came up with these things? why we always HAVE to follow traditions !!
i am very close to my marriage and i have no idea how to escape traditions !
I am soooo visualising a pregnancy test popping out from the garter! Priceless image!!! It would, to say the least, put some attitude into a tradition that I, incidentally, loathe.
I am wondering whether you might come up (for our entertainment and pondering as always) with something more to do with Lebanese wedding traditions, than those that are being dumped on us (relatively newly) from the States. I say the States because I have never heard of the whole old/new/borrowed/blue anywhere else.
Great comic, as always.
I think the pregnancy covers the “something new” as well.
You’re right…it does doesn’t it? Although she doesn’t look too happy about it.

Do you tuck the pregnancy test in the garter or create a vale around it?

Just don’t toss that pregnancy test with the garter. Nobody will want to catch it! Wonderfully and witty strip, Sareen, my compliments!
