I feel like I have this internal conversation all the time. Like…ALL the time!
*Phew*, it’s a nice change not to draw about things that are going on in Lebanon! As much as I love drawing about the crazy mess we’re, sometimes things get so disgusting that it almost makes you nauseous. And who the heck wants that on a Monday morning amiright people?
You know who DOESN’T want that? People who like my Facebook page, so go ahead and like it so you can gain some cool points.
wahahahahahaha
Part of growing up is realising that it’s ok to write “Shitheads” instead of “Poopoo heads”
And it’s horribly clear that I haven’t reached that stage yet.
I’ve reached the stage where my choice would be completely unusable in polite conversation. Now I don’t know what to make of that…
I find poopoo head to be far more devastating!
Poopoo head….*giggles*. And this is why I won’t grow up.
It may not be about current events in Lebanon, but that last panel is so relevant to Lebanese people in general that it turns the first 3 panels into excellent satirical social commentary on the childish nature of our fellow citizens. Which was probably your point to begin with; if so forgive me for stating the obvious
Still, I really like the idea behind this. I’ve also had similar internal conversations about adulthood and responsibility and that stuff, but in the end I always decide, to hell with “socially acceptable”; the best thing about being an adult is that you can do anything you want and not worry about people judging you for it (as opposed to adolescence, where you’re always worried about what your peers think when you do “childish” things). This C. S. Lewis quote sums it up nicely: “When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.” Just so long as what you do is harmless, of course (like doodling in the office? *innocent whistle*)
Long comment, sorry about that. You can see why I chose to reply here instead of my customary Twitter reply.
Such a well thought out comment that I’ve been thinking about it for two days and I still can’t come up with a worthy response. So I’ll just distract you with my magic skills *pulls hat out of rabbit* dammit!
Well, we’ve all seen a rabbit out of a hat before, but a hat out of a rabbit? Now that is new, consider me dazzled! Glad you liked the comment
U show`em Sam! Way to go
Haha guy in red is kareem! The other one is Sam But I’m glad you kinda remember the names
U know how some ppl r terrible with names/numbers & some other with faces/places.. well, here u have (it), a bad combination of both exemplified by me
أهلًا أهلًا بالألزهايمر
Halfway through this I felt sad because it’s true, but then I got to the last frame and laughed. Thank you!
Aww…well at least the last panel made you laugh! Thanks man!
you know…. i do not want to grow up
despite my marriage last week … i like to always show the kid in me …
and those poopoo heads don’t dare to come near my parking spot (not anymore )
Well congratulations on getting married! May the both of you always be children at heart! hehe
