This topic has been bothering me for quite some time now. Equality at the workplace and the idea that just because women might have babies in their future is something that would hinder them from getting a promotion. It’s like saying that a man cannot get a promotion because he might have a skiing accident in his future and that might stop him from doing his job.
Anyways, sigh, change of topic. As you may have noticed, I’ve been doing some changes to the site design this week. I wanted to go minimal, simplify, and make the focus on the comic itself.
If you guys are seeing some weird things around the site, please just refresh the page. Some images might be cached on your side.
Have a great week everyone!
Wahahaha ! well babies are not an accident most of the times … umm well okkk they are and more dangerous than a ski accident
anyway love the new design …
Thank you! Glad you like the new design!
wahahahahahahahahahaha!!!! amazing… i have to say that for a fact… but why can i not share it on GOOGLE+
Hey Robin! Well I didn’t realize there were people still sharing the comic on google plus so I removed the google share button. I’ll add it back tonight! Meanwhile you can share the link manually if you’d like http://inkontheside.com/2013/06/17/why-she-wants-to-be-a-man
Layla needs more communication/lying skills! haha
*Sam`s eyes tell a (deep) story
** I hate employers who not just do that, even brag about it amongst others (I minimized costs by not promoting her, I did her & the company a big favour, etc..!)
Regarding your third point, that’s horrible! Although honestly, I’m not surprised.
1st & 2nd were too lame, ha!
That’s the wig and fake facial hair sorted, now for some outfit that hides the curves and some voice pitch adjustments
Hehe exactly
Well, you see, I’d rather hire a female than a male for most office positions. The reason being, when she gets pregnant, I’ll have 6 months or so (by the time she starts looking like it) to react and get someone to replace her while she’s away on maternity leave. Whereas a male, he only needs to through a piece of paper saying he’s going on paternity leave without any prior notice. That’s him gone for the year. But then again, this is no Lebanon.
I hear you. But I’m sure you hire a person based on their qualifications rather than their gender, right?
Assuming the qualifications are equal and there is nothing else to separate both candidates then I would go for the above scenario. Otherwise of course the most qualified person for the job regardless of colour, gender, ethnicity, religious beliefs and amount of imaginary friends will get the job.
In that case, there should be more managers like you
Oh God no! You don’t want that
Thx for re putting it but yes i am a google person not a facebook or twitter i don’t care about any social network except for google. You are a programmer you should realise the best.
Take care. Alll the best…
