I already tweeted this earlier, but last night I was watching Talk of The Town on MTV. They had the singer Elissa on. The best part of the show was when the producers decided to award Elissa with a ton, and I mean a TON, of jewelry and SO many gifts. Poor Elissa, I think the producers felt like her fame and fortune (not to mention a fiancee that owns a plane) weren’t enough for her. Screw the poor people of this country and the hundreds of thousands of refugees! Elissa MUST get all these gifts!
On a side note, I want to congratulate all the NGOs that are doing an AMAZING job helping the refugees out during these cold winter months. And to the other readers, even a small donation, an old jacket you no longer wear, a blanket, anything you no longer use will help these people out so much.

Is it intentional that the little girl is in fairly “normal” clothing despite the weather, while the adults are all wearing coats or scarves?
That said though, I’ve seen stories of clothing donations backfiring due to distributional nightmares, hopefully that gets averted where you are…
